I am a reader, first, and a writer, second.

I am a visiting assistant professor in International Relations at Lehigh University. Our family dwells on Leni Lenape lands.

Until mid-2021, we lived in Bogotá, Colombia, where I taught at Universidad de los Andes, in Ciencia Política. There I studied the politics of the implementation of the peace agreement between the Colombian government and the FARC, signed in 2016. I travel frequently to Peru, where I conduct field research in Ayacucho, Puno, Cajamarca, and Lima. I completed my doctoral studies in the Department of Government at Georgetown University, where I specialized in Comparative Politics and International Relations, in particular on South Asia and Latin America.

I earned a BA in Political Science at Duke University way back in 2004, with a minor in English and a certificate in Latin American Studies. I have worked as a journalist and researcher at the Inter-American Dialogue and the United States Institute of Peace in Washington, DC. In 2009, I completed a MA at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies. I have worked and studied in Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Peru, and Spain.
